VIENNA · SHEER HORIZONTAL SHADES
Vienna shades.
A softer touch.
Keep the light you love. Give it a gentler presence. Vienna shades pair sheer fabric with softly shaped horizontal vanes, bringing texture and adjustable light to the rooms you live in.
Sheer layers keep a connection to the trees. Dark headrails pick up the lines of the pendant.
02 / THE WINDOW-SEAT RETREAT
A quiet corner.
A softer pace.
Some corners invite you to stay a little longer. Here, warm neutral shades follow the angles of the bay, surrounding the cushioned bench with a calm, continuous palette.
Each window has its own shade. That keeps the fit true to the bay and lets you adjust each side separately as the light changes. The soft fabric lines sit comfortably with the cushions, so the whole nook feels considered.
Choose a fabric tone that belongs with your upholstery. A window seat can then feel like part of the room, even when it has three different window angles.
03 / A ROOM THAT COMES TOGETHER
Different windows.
The same gentle line.
A wide window behind the sofa and a slender opening beside a timber wall do not need to compete. Matching white Vienna shades connect them, leaving the plant, furniture and natural finishes to bring the room its character.
The fabric vanes add a quieter texture than a bare expanse of glass. With the vanes open, filtered light and glimpses of the outdoors remain part of the setting.
Coordinate the fabric across different window sizes, then choose how each shade is adjusted for the light at that opening.
04 / THE DETAIL YOU FEEL
More than
a horizontal stripe.
Look closely and you can see what gives Vienna its softness: fabric vanes suspended between sheer layers. The curved profile creates gentle lines of light and shadow across the window.
Open the vanes to enjoy the outlook through the sheer fabric, or close them for a more screened setting. Fabric choice, vane position and the light on either side of the glass all shape the result.

A soft finish.
A different way to welcome light.
Three-inch fabric vanes give this Vienna shade its generous horizontal rhythm. Shown closed, the warm neutral fabric forms an understated backdrop that lets the room’s colours and textures take the lead.
The vanes sit between sheer layers. Open them to let daylight filter through and reveal more of the view, or close them for a more screened setting. Compare the fabric and vane positions in your own light to find the finish that suits your room.

What makes Vienna different from zebra shades?
Vienna shades use horizontal fabric vanes between sheer layers. Opening or closing the vanes changes the light and view. Zebra or dual shades use alternating sheer and opaque bands that slide past one another. Seeing both fabrics in person makes the difference easy to appreciate.
Will I still be able to see the garden?
With the vanes open, Vienna shades offer a filtered view through the sheer fabric. The clarity depends on the fabric, lighting and viewing angle. Compare samples against your own window outlook before choosing.
What about privacy in the evening?
Close the vanes for a more screened window, but check the chosen fabric with the room lights on. A sheer fabric should not be relied on for privacy after dark. If greater privacy or room darkening matters, we can discuss a suitable fabric or an additional layer.
Can I choose motorized Vienna shades?
Ask us about motorized options for your selected Vienna system. We will check the window dimensions, product compatibility, power and preferred controls before recommending a setup.
