AAA BLINDS PROJECT · BEFORE & AFTER
For this six-pane skylight above a staircase, we made individual removable frames using semi-translucent roller-shade fabric. The result is a gentle, light-filtering finish that keeps daylight in the room.

The semi-translucent fabric softens direct daylight while allowing light through. It offers a softer atmosphere without the fully darkened effect of a blackout fabric.
Each fabric panel has its own frame, following the six existing divisions of the glazing. The clean outline gives the installation an orderly, integrated appearance.
Side retaining pins hold the frames in place. The panels can be released and removed when more daylight is wanted, then refitted when shading is needed again. Ask our team about seasonal removal and refitting.
AAA BLINDS PROJECT · MANUAL HONEYCOMB SKYLIGHT SHADES
For this sloping skylight, we combined blackout honeycomb fabric in the two end sections with light-filtering honeycomb fabric in the centre. The centre lets softened daylight into the room, while the end sections provide stronger shading where it is wanted.
A skylight brings natural light into a home. Its shading should help you make the most of that light. We consider where direct sun falls, how the room is used and how bright you would like it to feel. Mixing fabrics across the opening gives different areas the light control they need, while retaining daylight through the centre.
The honeycomb shades move up and down by hand along side channels. Adjust their positions to suit the sunlight and the room throughout the day. The combination of fabric choice and movable shades creates more ways to enjoy the changing light.

For a reachable skylight, a handle can move a compatible cellular shade along its side rails. A matching extension pole may suit a higher opening. We check reach, travel direction and access before choosing the mechanism.
For high or hard-to-reach windows, ask about a compatible motorized cellular or fabric system. A remote makes everyday adjustments easier. App control and schedules can be added where the selected motor and smart-home hub support them.

From a central hand grip to a roof divided into framed panels, the details help shape the right solution for each opening.
We consider the opening size, roof angle, mounting depth, ventilation clearance and access for cleaning or power. The right fabric and frame work together: room-darkening fabric can reduce incoming light, while the complete installation determines how much light remains at the edges.
