SHEER CURTAINS

Sheer curtains.
Light, softly framed.

Light, flowing fabric gives windows a softer outline. Explore sheer curtains for garden doors, curved window bays and spaces where the view is part of the room.

A FEW DETAILS TO CONSIDER

Plan the finish.
And the everyday use.

See the fabric in daylight

Compare the weave, colour and fullness against a window. Sheer fabric changes the appearance of the light passing through it.

Plan a second layer

Sheers alone may not provide the privacy you want when lights are on indoors. Discuss a separate drapery or shade layer for different times of day.

Follow the architecture

A straight or suitable curved track can follow the window layout. Confirm bends, stacking space, heading and floor clearance together.

SHEER CURTAINS · TALL WINDOWS

Give the height
a softer edge.

A tall window can be a striking feature without feeling stark. These full-length white sheers bring soft, repeated folds to the glass, creating a gentle backdrop for the seating area and chandelier.

The light fabric keeps a connection with the outdoors while softening the appearance of daylight. Planning the fullness, heading and finished length together helps the curtain look balanced from the top of the window to the floor.

Sheers create atmosphere, but do not provide reliable privacy when the room is lit after dark. Add a separate shade or outer drapery layer if evening privacy is part of your brief.

RICHMOND PROJECT · SHEER CURTAINS & DRAPERY

Softly filtered.
Beautifully open.

A room can feel different with one simple movement. Draw the sheer across for gentle, filtered daylight, or let it glide aside to open up the view.

Two layers. More choice.

A sheer softens the light without giving the window a heavy look. Separate outer drapery adds a second layer for a more enclosed setting. The motorized sheer in this Richmond installation makes the wide opening easy to use throughout the day.

For evening privacy, choose a suitable outer fabric as well: sheer fabric can reveal the interior when lights are on.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

See the options.
Ask the right questions.

Will sheers provide privacy at night?

Sheer fabric lets light through and may reveal silhouettes when the room is lit. If evening privacy matters, discuss a separate drapery or shade layer and compare samples under different lighting.

Can the track follow a curved window bay?

A suitable track can be planned around some bends and bay arrangements. Measurements, bend geometry, fabric fullness and stacking space need to be checked together.

Can I choose motorized operation?

Yes. The Richmond project above includes a motorized sheer curtain. A suitable system depends on the track layout, fabric weight and available power. Visit the project video to see the curtain moving across the window.
